If you had a "fish tank" in the 1970s, you most likely were the proud owner of some
variation of a black trimmed glass box on a simple black wrought iron stand. If
you weren't on a budget, you may have also had a strip light of some sort
perched on top of your tank and a foil landscape taped to its back. That was
pretty much all that was available. While those functional "set-ups" worked
fairly well for maintaining garden-variety tropical fish, very little thought
was given to how that "set-up" was going to look in your home. Then, in 1975,
that all started to change.....
